Foscarini and Marc Sadler’s shared passion for research into new technologies has given rise to Twiggy, the iconic arched floor lamp which is available in an entire collection of lamps made of composite material on a lacquered fibreglass base. The reading and XL table version stand out for the successful synthesis of absolute formal simplify and strong personality: using the same diffuser and the same base as the floor lamp, and a rod that develops vertically, in two different heights. The simple flat disc of the base, which is light-weight and compact, can be inserted anywhere with ease. The diffuser guarantees direct lighting in the area underneath the lamp and - thanks to the transparency of the upper protection disk - diffuses efficient lighting by reflection, while at the same time guaranteeing good glare protection.

DESCRIPTION

Floor lamp with direct and indirect light. Diffuser and rod made of fibreglass-based composite material and liquid coated. Translucent polycarbonate upper diffuser disc, PMMA lower diffuser disc with polyprismatic internal surface. Epoxy powder coated metal round base; the transparent cable is fitted with a dimmer which can be used both to adjust the level of luminous intensity gradually or as the ON/OFF switch.
