DIESEL FOSCARINI - PYLON FLOOR

Pylon was named after the metal base, with its embossed textured finish, inspired by the vision of an electric framework in an industrial landscape. It then adds a special touch of fashion and tailoring to this image by combining it with a diffuser in ivory tinted linen coupled with PVC that bestows this lamp with an unmistakable personality. The pure linen fabric - with a purposely uneven weft and warp, dyed and treated against fraying- is moulded like a dress onto the body of the diffuser with hand-pleated folds which give it a 3D shape, recalling an industrial filter or part of a turbine. Designed by the Diesel Creative Team and produced by Foscarini, Pylon is available in two matching versions: floor lamp - which can also be turned into a reading lamp since it is height-adjustable - and suspension lamp. Characterised by its warm and soft luminosity, Pylon is perfect both in a more intimate setting, such as a bedroom or living room, as well as in different communal areas, such as restaurants, public houses or a hotel lobby.

DESCRIPTION

Floor lamp with diffused and direct up and down light. The outline of the opaline PVC polycarbonate diffuser is covered with pure linen fabric, with a purposely-uneven weft and warp of the fabric achieved by hand. The fabric, treated against fraying, is then bent and glued to achieve the pleated effect. The frame is made of white powder-coated steel. The frame is made of laser-cut steel coated with black powder paint with an embossed-rough finish. Telescopic rod, which extends by approximately 35 cm with external knob lock. The transparent cable is fitted with a dimmer which can be used both to adjust the level of luminous intensity gradually or as the on/off switch.
