DIESEL FOSCARINI - HEXX TABLE

From the industrial shape of a bolt, to beehives found in nature, the hexagon is a perfect shape, capable of bringing to life endless compositions, based on a single polygon. The Hexx table lamp is the result of a union of two different hexagonal prisms made of perforated sheet - a clear reference to the industrial world - overlapping one another so that the meshes of both items do not cross. This simple idea leads to an optical effect – called moiré pattern – which creates a fascinating play of light. Designed by the Diesel Creative Team and produced by Foscarini, Hexx is fitted with two light sources and dual switch, to create special ever-changing atmospheres. The upper light source is directed upwards and offers a functional light that shines by reflection, whereas the lower light source generates a magical luminous atmosphere, drawing light patterns on the surface on which it is placed as well as on the walls. There are two finishes available: black, minimalist and graphic, or green, with a reference to the oxidation of copper and therefore to a design that is both natural and industrial.

DESCRIPTION

Table lamp with diffused and direct up light, comprising two hexagon-shaped perforated sheet steel elements, fine powder coated, laser cut flat and subsequently bent. The internal base houses the lighting technology part comprising a double lamp holder: the lower one for a light bulb and the upper one for an up light lamp. It is fitted with a mobile screen in painted steel, in the same colour as the lamp, which revolves around the rod which houses the lamp holders and acts as the dimmer switch for the lower light bulb. Transparent electrical cable and black dual switch.
