DIESEL FOSCARINI - CRASH & BELL

Disel's rock soul has taken shape in two lamps, which are independent but complementary. Inspired by percussion instruments, Crash resembles a cymbal while Bell looks just as its name suggests. Both are available in bronze or aluminium colours and have been given a surface treatment with small, concentric grooves. They both use the same multi-faceted blown glass element resembling vintage glassware which projects beams of fragmented light onto the diffuser's metal surface and at the same time leaves the naked bulb in full view in a clear reference to the world of industry. It is this two-fold light effect that gives Crash & Bell its powerful and unique impact. On their own, as a twosome or in groups, they steal the limelight in any young domestic environment or alternative contract environment.

DESCRIPTION

Suspension lamps with semi-diffused and direct down light. Diffuser made of transparent hand-blown glass, the lower half of which is also sandblasted by hand. The two reflectors are made of a slab of aluminium, turned in a steel mould to ply it into shape, and then turned in a Teflon mould to achieve the characteristic stripes. The aluminium colour version is painted matt transparent on the inside and glossy transparent on the outside. The bronze version is painted glossy bronze colour both on the inside and on the outside. Diesel logo silk-screen printed onto the polycarbonate/injection moulded ABS mount, which is vacuum metallised. Stainless steel suspension cable and transparent electrical cable. Ceiling flange with galvanised metal bracket and glossy white batch-dyed ABS cover.
