DIESEL FOSCARINI - GLASS DROP

Glass Drop resembles a white-hot drop of glass before it takes shape. Its blown glass body is coated with chromed aluminium giving it a double life. When it is switched off it is the decorative effect of its mirrored surfaces which dominates, when it is switched on a warm light filters through its iridescent diffuser. The gently undulating shape of the upper part harmoniously accentuates its droplet effect. Glass Drop is particularly striking in a multiple installation, like a jewel made up of many pendants. Linear or round, Foscarini's multiple ceiling flange allows you put up to nine suspension lamps together, combining functionality with a harmonious look.

DESCRIPTION

Suspension lamp with diffused light; the diffuser is made of glossy finish hand-blown glass; the conical surface undergoes “vacuum metallising”, a technique that renders the glass polished and reflective like metal when off. The shape of the glass at the top is slightly undulated to accentuate the drop effect. When the lamp is turned off, it looks like chromed metal, whereas it turns into a warm pale grey colour when the lamp is on. The mount is made of injection moulded and “vacuum metallised” thermoplastic material with the Diesel logo in relief. Stainless steel suspension cable and transparent electrical cable, ceiling flange with galvanised metal bracket and matt black batch-dyed ABS cover. Electric decentralisation kit available, as well as multiple canopies for compositions up to 6-9 lamps.
